Today makes it a whole month in the Hospital! And I am still sane....i think lol
We have made it to 30 weeks and 4 days today and plan to keep going. Had an ultrasound yesterday and the babies weights were:
Baby A 3.1 lbs
Baby B 3.7
Baby C 3.7
Baby D 2.12
My cervix is now at 1.6cm
They ran a few tests on the babies to see how they were developing and they all scored an 8 out of 8!
Yay!!! They are doing so well! I cant ask for any more...except maybe a few more weeks so they can continue to get bigger and stronger! ;)
Last night my blood pressure was a little high so they are watching it for now. I hope it goes down....I am not ready for them to take the babies yet!
My OB is hoping we can make it four more weeks! Which will put us at Christmas Eve. She is saying she will definitely deliver us before Christmas. My maternal Fetal Medicine doctor seems to think we will have the babies in another week or two....
I guess we will have to wait an see....I am hoping for at least two more weeks!! hang in there babies! Keep growing! xoxo
We are having 2 Boys & 2 Girls!!!!

really nervous today....
Just trying to make it another day in the hospital on bed rest.... Contractions have not been really bad at all, thank goodness! Had a few yesterday but they went away on their own and didn't have any today that i was aware of. Sometimes it is really hard to tell if they are true contractions or if its just the babies moving around. Either way my stomach starts to tighten up. When one baby starts moving the others get going too!
Starting late last week, I developed a rash all over my body...which is not fun to say the least! It feels like poison ivy....ouch! The doctors are not sure what it is from, they think it could either be pupps which is something that just comes with pregnancy sometimes or it could be caused from my liver. They did some blood work 2 days ago to see if it is my liver and will take a few days for test results to come back. If it is my liver they will try to give me meds for it but if that does not work they will have to deliver the babies! I pray that it is not!! I made it this far..... :(
I am also really nervous now about the c section.....the first night we were admitted to the hospital a doctor told me if they had to do a emergency c section they would do the incision vertically.
I asked my doctor this morning about it and she said her team wanted to do it vertically but she was undecided and was leaning towards a horizontal incision..it all depended on when the babies where coming and what was going on at the time...I m really hoping they do it horizontal but of course i want whatever is best for my babies. Its just that i think its starting to set in that i will be going into surgery at all.....even thou I've always known i would have a c section! I'm getting scared....I just wish i knew that everything was going to be okay :(
Glad today is almost over....hoping i will feel more better tomorrow!

26 weeks to the day
10/29/10
Friday
I started with contractions around 9pm but they were not consistent so i went to bed that night. I woke up at 2am with pain in the side of my back but i really wasn't sure if it was contractions are just pain from having 4 babies. By 8am Saturday morning i knew what it was.......I told Michael and we watched the time to see if there was a pattern with the contractions...and there was! They were coming about 8 min apart so we called the Dr. and she said to meet her at the hospital. When we got to the hospital and set up in my room they were coming 2 to 3 min apart and coming very strong! They put me on Magnesium and gave me a shot of steroids for the babies lungs. The good news was that I was not dilated at all. But my cervix had softened. During Saturday night Baby D's heart rate was dropping and changing.....the doctors were concerned. They told us if it didn't become stable we may have to decide if we should risk her and stay pregnant or risk all and deliver. It was very scary but I felt in my heart that i would not have to make that decision because it would be alright. I didn't feel the babies were coming for a few more weeks. Sunday night, 2 more babies had a change (drop) in their heart rates. Again scary but then all heart rates leveled out by the next morning!!!
I was on mag for 2 days and received 2 rounds of the steroids. The mag was not fun but it worked. I was able to be moved from labor and deliver to a regular room by Monday afternoon. We went for an ultrasound that Monday morning....and my cervix was at a 19 which was good and still closed. The babies were weighed at:
26 weeks and 3 days
BABY A 1.13 pounds ounces
BABY B 2.2
BABY C 2.5
BABY D 1.14

We've made it to 23 weeks!
We went to the maternal fetal medicine doctor today to have another ultrasound. The babies are weighing at:
Baby A 1.3 lbs
Baby B 1.4 lbs
Baby C 1.7 lbs
Baby D 1.4 lbs
So they are all right on track! They are moving all over the place now! I can now watch my stomach go up and down when they start moving. I feel really good but I am getting really tired easily....my OB told me last week i need to start laying down 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon.
